Well, I'm back, sort of. I'm not really back, in that I no longer have what I need to be a complete rubber doll, due to the depredations of time, skin oils, and so on. I've managed to repair a few things to feed my fetish needs temporarily, but I'm going to have to spend money before I'll be able to really get back into the doll thing again. Unfortunately, I don't really have much disposable income right now. Hopefully later in the year that will improve. In the mean time, the following fantasy has been burning holes in my brain, so I thought I'd get it off my chest, so to speak.
A long time ago, I saw a photograph in a European fetish magazine of performance artist and musician Kembra Pfahler (famed front-woman of cult glampunk band, The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black) doing some performance or other. Sadly I can't find a copy on the net, so you'll just have to make do with my clumsy description.
She was (as is usually the case) in full body paint/makeup, and nearly nude. In this performance, she had bowling balls taped to her feet, various straps and harness forcing her to move only in strangely restricted and ungainly ways, her arms and hands were strapped, perhaps locked into modified orthopedic braces, and if memory serves (hah!) her hands had been rendered unavailable somehow - I think she had them wrapped up in tape or encased spheres echoing the appearance of her sphere-feet.
I wish I had a copy to show you (or link to), because the image stuck with me. Recently, it resurfaced in a dream and has now taken up a comfortable residence in whatever steamy, psychedelic rave-in-a-dungeon corner of my brain is responsible for generating sexual and fetish fantasies.
I'm always thinking up scenes I might like to do (but haven't done yet), fantasies which would be nice to fulfill some day, and that scene is now appearing in heavy rotation on the projection screen in the smoky back room where my fantasy writers work.
Sadly, this stuff stays fairly hypothetical any more (unless I want to act it out alone) since I don't seem to have the knack of talking my partner into ANY sort of kinky activities, unless I beg and script everything out, thus leaching any surprise, tension, drama, spontaneity or FUN out of the act, so why bother? Well that, and when half or more of the things which turn you ON are direct turn-OFFs for your partner, you're kind of out of luck.
Don't get me wrong, true love is great and all... it's just that True Love isn't NEARLY enough for a depraved, utterly fetish-obsessed, sex addict.
If the reader gets the impression that this latex doll is not in her Happy Place, well, that's true. But hope springs eternal, right? Right?
Well, I edited this post to end on a more upbeat note, moved the description of the scene to the end, and the whiny selfish bitch part to the middle.
So, let me describe to you a rubber doll in a "mobile predicament bondage" scene...
First, the basic doll herself - imagine a "typical" heavy rubber doll with anonymous female features, fully encased, with no clue to the identity (or for that matter, the gender) of the person inside... for today's scene, our doll is dressed in a head to toe latex catsuit (think of your favorite color), a heavy duty posture-enforcing rubber underbust corset (which nicely cups our doll's generous breasts in their fitted cups), a heavy duty posture collar / shoulder piece (think Harald Wilfer Design or similar) which straps to the top of the corset, and the usual accompanying crotch-piece which straps to the bottom of the corset. To add spice and distraction, our doll has been fitted with inflatable toys fore and aft, and is also gagged in some fashion which does not interfere with heavy breathing, since she'll be exerting herself.
So far, this describes a popular rubber doll look which has been seen in many photographs online and in print. Here's an example, I believe the model is Emma Lee:

Now here are the bits which make the scene which I have in mind special:
The doll's feet are encased in tightly laced leather ballet-toe boots, each of which in turn, is firmly fixed to a flat base of steel about half an inch thick. (how is yet to be determined, I'm about half way there)
This plate might be any of a number of shapes, but whatever shape is chosen, it must be sufficiently broad and long that: A) each plate weighs 10-20 pounds (depending on how strong our doll's legs are!) and B) the plate adds tremendous stability to ballet boots, making it nearly impossible for the wearer to tip over. Probably the best thing would be rectangles, with rounded corners and edges, and perhaps even some stout foam - like 1/4" neoprene - on the bottom to protect floor finishes and other people's toes. A rubber guard around the hard edge might be a good idea too.
The doll is free to walk about on the two pieces of her "display stand" as much as she can stand. The weight on the legs will result in a fair bit of workout. Of course, if she steps on any toes with those plates! Well, she can be punished for that in whatever way is deemed appropriate, so she'd best watch where she puts her feet, and be cautious about moving around at all.
The boots should be knee high, and the plates equipped with sufficient additional supports for the calf (or just-below-the-knee) such that the ankles are largely relieved of any strain of keeping the lower leg upright. This, combined with sufficient silicone gel padding in the toes, makes relatively long "standing" times possible for the doll. However, the toes will still be punished to some degree, and eventually the doll will need rest. She is welcome to get said rest however she wishes, by sitting on a chair, or even dropping to all fours should the plates be designed to accommodate that. Let's have her wear knee pads over her suit.
The doll's hands are rendered as useless as her feet, or more so, in one of two ways:
1. by inflatable ball mitts or taped-hands-around-the-tennis-ball trick - comfortable and easier, good for longer scenes.
2. by taping the hands to the lightest bowling balls I can find - 8 pounds or so, a child's ball - and encasing them with tape or film so as to be nice round shiny balls. The heavier these balls get the more inclined our doll will be to leave them on the floor rather than try to support their weight or let their weight hang from her shoulders... but she is free to move about as much as she can...
As much as I would like this doll to be blind, with her head encased in say, an inflatable ball-hood, it's more important to me that she be able to move about, and for that to happen with any safety at all, she needs to be able to see, at least to some degree. With practice, perhaps goggles or a hood with restricted vision could be added later.
Now for a real treat, demand that your doll satisfy you sexually while she is dressed like this. That ought to be a challenge!
I could make this happen. The hands are transparently easy.
I've got the ballet toe ankle boots (I'd rather they were knee-high, but ankle boots are what I have, and see again that bit above about braces going up to the knee).
I've already fabricated what were originally intended as weights for the heels of those ballet boots. Those weights could easily be turned into clamps for said heels, and welded to the base plates. That leaves the question of how to fix the toes to the base plate rigidly and securely. I'm working on that, but I probably won't take it seriously until after I have the base plates made.
For clamps / supports at ankle and calf / knee, I'm imagining wide, semi-circular, padded steel clamps which would half-enclose ankle and knee from the rear, being open to the front, and having a wide leather strap to enclose the leg around the front. (the strap completes the circle). The clamps would be attached to the base via welded steel struts. The idea here is to provide brace points at ankle and knee which are rigidly fixed to the base, but which comfortably yet firmly encase and support the leg as well. The whole thing acts not only as an effective, restrictive bondage for the lower leg and foot, but it rigidly supports the vulnerable ankle. It will still be possible to torque the knees if one is careless. I'll need to think about that.
It would be interesting if the lower leg bits could be used as part of a "doll display stand' which would go much further, clamping the doll at each joint, the hips, waist, and perhaps more, utterly and completely immobilizing said doll. Wouldn't be terribly difficult to make -- not for someone as handy as my dollmaker -- and the materials are cheap. It would just be a lot of work, and tedious. Oh great, another pipe dream kink project to add to the many back burners of my creative stove...
Now for real pipe-dream territory, make that "doll display stand" mobile...
* lighten up those base plates a bit by making them thinner (so we have the weight budget for other features) the plates could be as thin as 1/8", or even thinner with stiffening added
* imagine the lower leg braces as a done deal, but add protection for the knee from twisting by a rigid joint with bearings on either side of the knee - just like an orthopedic brace and in fact one might wish to save some time by adopting real orthopedic brace components - so that the knee cannot twist. Now the leg brace bits extend up to the thigh...
* connect the leg braces to a steel body girdle / frame which _does_ allow some limited twisting at the tops of the legs and hips (otherwise the doll has no hope of turning while walking)...
* arm braces... restrictive joints... imagine a framework which you wear, which forces the body inside to move only in stiff, ungainly ways, and with restricted range of motion - mobile bondage which forces the doll to move even more doll- or marionette-like. Different versions could be made for different duties. Think in terms of optional attachments for your doll / housemaid / slave / rubberized walking sex toy.
That would be an ambitious project indeed, and would be a true labor of love for some obsessed individual somewhere... such as whoever constructed the Gynoid Suit for Thierry Mugler!
I am reminded of one of my favorite pieces of fetish fiction, in which a fetishistic submissive is strapped into a gizmo consisting of a wide steel belt which clamps over her corseted waist, and having two vertical curved arms attached at the back which pivot on that belt. The top end of each rocker arm is attached through a pivot to the upper shoulder or arm.
The bottom end of each arm was attached to a cuff encircling the thigh near the knee. The only way the wearer could walk was if they rocked their shoulders back and forth (forward and back) as their legs moved -- they had no choice if they wanted to move their legs! That sounded amusing but to add insult to injury, in that story, the girl wear wearing a lubricated "grope suit" or "grope bra" which slid stimulating little bumps across her nipples every time she rolled her shoulders. The author had a delightfully twisted mind.
